| Provisioning?
With the 4 broadband plans offered, what is the actual provisioned line speed? I know that actual speeds you get are distance dependent, but I'm just looking at provisioning for research.
6000/384 3000/384 1500/384 256/128
Thanks! -- Write me up a 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

1 edit | Here is Orange Springs, FL I can get residential and most places now can get up to 3m service
512/256 1536/385 3072/385
Other places get 6m which is
6144/384 at least in all places that offer 6m 7200/384 if they feel they have the bandwidth to feed it.

There are also business plans. -- | Speedstream 4200 Modem - 3m/384 plan | W98-W2KSP4-XPSP2 - All AMD | Buffalo WHR G54S with OpenWRT WR0.9 | 3 downstream switches feeding 6 total clients (no wireless) | Including the Data port on the side of my pork belly | |

| Thanks bud!
How do they determine how much overhead is needed. Is this strictly by distance or via feedback from the customer? I'm assuming they try "normal" provisioning for your distance and then adjust if needed. -- Write me up a 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

| No adjustment I am aware of for distance or line condition.
You get the standard provisioning regardless (I believe). I have seen people report in here they had 3m service but their S/N was just on the edge or Attn just on the edge. WS suggested they lower to 1.5 which did indeed fix dropped packets. And if it is that close and bad you won't really notice a decrease in anything but your bill.
Many here have asked that were too far out to be dropped a little but not all the way down to the next tier to compensate for distance, but I don't believe they do that.
