 | Investors The investors will eventually be the best friend of net neutrality. As the ISP's invest more and more in such technology, and the file sharing generation demonstrates their ability to bypass it again and again (anyone who thinks "adults" will out internet the internet generation is being silly), the investors will demand that the ISP's stop wasting their money. I don't watch TV or movies, and listen only to internet radio and the local ESPN radio station, so don't wear out your fingers calling me a pirate (although I was a Raiders fan when they were in LA, and I could attend the games).
And I would guess that more than a few investors connect their branch offices with VPN, so I got a chuckle from the story a week back about Rogers slowing upstream VPN traffic. Can't have much downstream VPN traffic without upstream VPN traffic now, can we? When I worked for Boeing, I regularly connected via VPN to work from home. Guess I am a pirate. I wish they were doing this back then, I wouldn't have worked 50-60 hours a week at my office, only to go home and work some more from there. |
