Re: My experience in attempting to remove vundo what am i not understanding here.
the last 2 lines BEFORE windows defender in the parentheses mentions 2 freeware programs that are recommended..i assume recommended when the instructions suggests "additional freeware scanners"
(If you are running Windows 2000 or WinXP, download and run these additional freeware scanners to clean for trojans and spyware (Microsoft Antispyware and Ewido will not run on Win98/ME).)
Not sure what i paid for...I have canceled my credit card and have contacted the company if no response will reformat my drive later and chalk it up to a learning experience. |

Not sure either, though I think I can guess that it was rogue antispyware. Anything that claims to be Microsoft Antispyware (there is no longer such thing anymore as it is now called Windows Defender) and furthermore charges you money to use it is likely of that ilk. Cancelling your credit card is perhaps the best thing you did. -- "The trouble with computers, of course, is that they are very sophisticated idiots." - Doctor Who (from Robot)
