yockTFTCPremium join:2000-11-21 Miamisburg, OH kudos:3 | [game] Thanksgiving C9-apalooza First of all, welcome to our new players and to our returning friends who have been away far too long. It's good to have you on board.
To the new folks, read the rules. I'll be following those to the letter, and any tolerance for breaking them will fade rapidly as we get going. That being said, lets get started...
The well-seasoned mayor of Broadtown was always fond of the rain. In his younger years he and his wife might make good use of torrents such as this one, but with her long gone he preferred to stay well-read. The Broadtown library supplied him with a copy of a classic just that afternoon, one he'd surely finish well before rain finished itself.
This sturdy man marked his place so he could briefly step to the window and watch bolts of lightning illuminate the otherwise invisible but clamorous rain. Thunder struck out several times as he gazed into the distance, though one of those thunderclaps would prove to be his last.
Not a thunderclap at all, the mayor lay flat on his back, blood running from his broken skull as shards of glass lay around him. Just outside a dark figure stops to retrieve a shell casing before shuffling off into the night...
The Mayor of Broadtown has been slain by the evil mafia scum! Day One dawns on Broadtown with the people gathered in the town square to mourn this heavy loss...and to find and punish the culpable...
-- Laughter is the closest distance between two people. --Victor Borge Lynch All Liars |

Sure there is, something simple, power roles will play different then townies even very good players. I like to read into how people phrased things or why they omitted something while explaining. Putting pressure on the player makes them talk, and they may expose something.
Just trying to get a game going here out of the "Whats up everyone" stage. -- "He who is not afraid today to say 'no' to the repressive machinery of a criminal bureaucracy earns the right to be called a Human Being." »lp.org/ »www.ronpaul2008.com/ |

PaulgDisplaced YooperPremium join:2004-03-15 Neenah, WI kudos:1 | Point taken, but with the amount of new blood in here (myself included) I think one will have a difficult time distinguishing, at least early in the game, before people realize what exactly their roles do. |
