I guess they just sent Fios TV as something to test with. Shoving FiOS TV down the pipe is an excellent way of testing the circuit. The best type of file to use during a bandwidth test is one that is already compressed, and FiOS TV fits the bill. It's no different than when the speed testing tools here on DSLR measure your bandwidth by seeing how much of an MP3 file you can download and upload within a certain amount of time....
