YES - Two reasons it is Vista and you need to play by Vistas rules. I have two VISTA machines one I do what I want and it doesn't run worth a poop, the other I play by Vista's rules and it runs (knock on wood) like a swiss watch.

Second Reason and you will find it in several places on nVidias site a statement that says you should always install windows diver updates for Vista products.

I know someone is going to ask me where on their site is says that and I don't remember. But trust me on this one it does.

You can always call nVidia and verify.

[EDIT] OK here is the link straight from nVida.

They're not really necessary if your system is working fine.

If you don't already have the monitor driver installed (will say Plug and Play Monitor), I would install that one only.

That's what I did with both 931BF and 906BW.

thanks

On the device manager page under the monitor tab it say generic pnp Monitor.Would this mean the drivers are not installed ?

Those two update are optional not recommended like i previously said.

install the one for the monitor. and just download the latest Vista drivers for your video card from the nvidia website. Simple as that.
