Re: [Vista] Sound settings with headset all right auggy, i applied KB933262 from microsoft.. It updates the usb driver and fixes usb audio problems. Unfortunately, my headphones are upstairs with the rest of my peripherals because my father in law is sleeping in the bedroom! If you've heard of this fix, let me know what i am to expect tomorrow when i plug everything back in. I am confident in this fix as it updates the usbaudio.sys file to version 6.0.6000.20539. Unfortunately, the patch is only available through request from MS. here's the link to the KB article

That update has helped a lot of users with USB audio problems in Vista and has potential for your problem.
I believe that patch will be included in SP1. |
