| Cogent reliability in Milwaukee
Has anyone else had problems with Cogent's reliability in Milwaukee?
I'm not talking about the quality of the bandwidth when it works, that has been pretty good.
My problem is every other week they stop sending BGP routes for most of the internet. When this happens I can get to other Cogent customers in Milwaukee, but no where else.
I suspect this is because their Milwaukee network is dropping off the rest of their network.
I've called support multiple times and probably 1/4 of the time the outage is a "planned outage" that they didn't notify us about, 1/2 the time their support people claim to not be aware of any outages, and the other 1/4 is when they have a outage that they have announced beforehand.
Has anyone else had a similar experience or know what is going on? |
