I just wanted to say it early since I'll probably be busy tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to all here.

and thanks to the employees on here who helped us through though times (for fixing our internet)

I hope 2008 brings AZ ondemand and more HD. (and hopefully more upspeed to those not living in non FIOS areas.. I know dream on)

Living in a qwest area i know the upload thing won't ever happen(unless VZ buys qwest(fat chance))
ondemand would be nice but i won't hold my breath waiting for it.

I wouldn't count on it unless you're in a fios area.

3.0 will be happening everywhere,,,

And OnDemand will happen next year... Equipment is already installed in most headends...

Cox has 3.0 installed already? i didn't know 3.0 was even finalized yet. i don't think the 5120's are upgradable via firmware are they?

just cause the technologies are in place doesn't mean they will give us speeds that utilize it

and i dunno if 3.0 is rolled out

I thought this is a happy Thanksgiving thread. It is turning out to be a sour grapes thread. Are you guys thankful for anything?

Well cox *could* sweeten the wine but the non fios areas are stuck with 2 buck chuck.
-
non fios areas that get 3.0 will most likely get nothing in the way of speeds, 3.0 will allow nodes to be loaded even heavier(splitting nodes is expensive)
