<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/594412"><b>TKJunkMail</b></A> : They also may oppose this merger on political grounds, though that won't be admitted. The EU has a history of sticking it to big US companies(like IBM, Microsoft, & Apple) because for nationalistic and competitive business reasons they don't want US companies dominating all the EU companies.<br><br>The Google/Doubleclick merger would unite 2 advertising behemoths  and could potentially shut out EU businesses from this lucrative and "culture altering"(advertising does that) marketplace.<br><br>If the US FTC raises objections based on Congressional pressures, I expect the EU will see that as a green light to try and block the merger.<br><small>--<br><A HREF="http://tinyurl.com/2a9xcb">Internet News</a><br><A HREF="http://tinyurl.com/bqv2h">My BLOG</a><br><A HREF="http://tinyurl.com/yz8xto">My Web Page</a><br></small>]]></description>
