Depending on OS, I voted for a couple of them.
However, File-Roller in Gnome DE was not there, and therefore one of my votes was Other (Please specify).

WinRar does everything I need. I'm old enough to remember ARJ, LZH, PKARC and the archive wars.

Thanks for the poll, mike31mets See Profile!

In Windows it's IZarc, and in Linux it's Ark.

BetterZip for Mac. It is an excellent (un)archiver. It is not free, but is worth the money.
Compactor (which is free) is pretty good as well.

Thanks a lot for helping out mike31mets See Profile!
Great job!

I voted WinRar (my primary program).

Also use ALZip...(Altools has some other great free stuff btw).

And last but not least, XP's built in utility really works quite well for the most basic needs, and I use it often.

IZarc for just about everything. Sometimes when I right click I choose "extract all" instead of IZark so I had to choose the built in windows one too.

PowerArchiver for me. I find it the best compression and decompression and it looks the best.

Re: [POLL] Compresssion Utilities - 2008 Member Choice Poll

WinRar has been there for me for years and I could never imagine going without it. I also marked other since sometimes I have to use a program called 001Joiner. I hate the joiner but it's needed because some people's skulls are made of titanium.
