CCleaner and an old version of AdSubtract Pro (which works
pretty well with hosts files - I just have to remember to
exit and restart ASP so it can add its own entry to the
hosts file).

Thank you for the poll!

I chose CCleaner, not just for cookie control - even though that's what it does - but because I use it and therefore have some sort of cookie control.

NONE. Both Firefox and IE7 have sufficient capabilities to control cookies without any addons if you set them up right. And that is block all by default except for a whitelist.

I have IE7 set up to allow first party cookies and to block third party cookies. That's about the extent of my cookie control. I voted None.

Thank you for the poll, lilhurricane See Profile.

Re: [POLL] Cookie Controls - 2008 Member Choice

I voted crapcleaner and none. I use crapcleaner very regularly, but have the cookies settings unchecked.
I have IE6, Seamonkey and Kmeleon set up to allow first party cookies and to block third party cookies. That's about the extent of my cookie control.

This is what I do, and I believe not enough folks know about blocking 3rd party cookies. Not you guys, but the other people.

"Other" & CCleaner

Firefox built in controls.

CCleaner for secondary Programs that use cookies.

I also do this in addition to using CCleaner. I voted CCleaner and Other.

I chose "other" rather than "none" because I think that I do control my cookies, but I do it by using the settings in IE and FF with no other software or add-ons.

Hey, Lil did a poll ! Lovely job, thanks.

All my cookies are session-only, so clean-up is a breeze, but I do use CCleaner and MRU-Blaster in Windows. Most often, though, browsers tidy up after themselves.
