anon : HI i installed my friends belkin N1 adsl mode m wirless router an having trouble with range an connecitivity on the nework. Im not an expert on home network an have tried to read connection problems an seems it coud be down to alot of issuses :O(
My first question is that both his wirless card devices on pc an his laptop are not of 802.11,N class but b/g ,the problems im having is that the both his laptop an pc disconnect frequently. I have to place router in same room has his pc for signal strenght to go to full strenght an the pc dont disconnect. Once the router is placed in next room less then 1 metre away from the pc but a deviding wall between ,the pc shows only 50% signal strenght an disconnects random times very frequently 3 for 4 times an hour.
Im i right in thinking the router needs to be set up to none 802.11.n to some other setting

any help will be gratelly accepted :O)
