Trillian FTW. Does AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo etc all at the same time.
Lightweight, powerful, not burdened by bloatware or ads. |

| reply to Rob A I use AIM Pro for the most part, mostly because that's what everyone at work uses.
At my small business I set everyone up with AIM as well, because that's what I use at my other job.
I used to use Yahoo back in my single days, and I hardly use it anymore but still have an old account.
I want to eventually switch to Google Talk, but it's tough to switch everyone over as well. |

| reply to Rob A I use GAIM. And yes, I know they had to rename (to Pidgin) due to pressure from AOL, but I see no compelling reason to upgrade from the version I have so I'm proud to continue to run the version that pisses off AOL. |

1 edit | reply to Rob A Sametime ... 'cause we gotta.
[Edit] Sorry, I guess I gotta 'splain... Sametime is the IM component if IBM's Lotus Notes product. It is a separate subsystem and will talk to the AIM system. It's the company's standard IM platform.
Other than that I don't do much IMing.

Daily I use Colloquy for work on internal SILC servers (no sending sensitive stuff to AOL/MSN/whoever). If I do need to talk to outsiders, I fire up iChat. The full-screen video chat is the best I've ever seen. |

| reply to Rob A I use Trillian as my main IM setup with the MSN, AIM and Yahoo plugins. As long as Trillian exists, I will never use anything else for my muti chats.
I also use Google talk sometimes.
I've been getting into Skype a lot for voice chats as well.
Nice poll! |
