MSN since my work is a MS Gold partner. I only use it at work and virtually no one else has an AIM account. I tried Trillian - very buggy and I did not like the interface at all. -- Brian

1 edit | reply to Rob A Dunno, IM clients just seem so...5 years ago.
All contact for me now is through email/phone/fax (business), cell phone/VoIP (friends at home), and ventrilo (online friends).
Not sure how I got out of the habit of logging in to AIM, used to have it on constantly, but now...I log on about once every few months, if that. |

Thanks for the poll, Rob A !
To avoid clutter and crapware, I use Trillian in Windows to connect to ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN networks.
In Linux I use Kopete to do the same thing. I see no need for multiple clients when one does the job for me.

| reply to Rob A Great Poll Rob!
I voted AIM simply because it was usually the only way I could contact my 'kids' when they were away from home. (Seems everyone used it back then).
VERY rarely even use an IM client these days...suppose I still keep it around, well, 'just cuz'. -- I had a life once.....now I have a Computer and a Modem. |

| reply to Rob A I use Aim and Google Talk for my closest and best friends. Otherwise I use Pidgin (the big brother of Gaim, but I didn't feel marking it as Gaim would be right). It runs a second aim account, Yahoo!, MSN, and ICQ for me in one window I can minimize when Outsiders need to talk to me in real time and not email. |

| reply to Rob A AIM, Google Talk, and Google Hello
People forget that Google runs two chat programs. Google Hello is MUCH faster when sharing files though.
