DWA-140 USB adapter loses connection in Vista.

I recently upgraded to Vista Home Premium. I never had any problems with my D-Link DIR-635 and DWA-140 in XP, but in Vista it disconnects for aprox 10 seconds several times a day.
This has to be a problem with Vista or the DWA-140 drivers???
Any of you who can help?

I have the latest Vista driver, 2.1.00... and the latest firmware (2.21EU) on my DIR-635.

Try to change the security setting on the router and the adapter configuration in Vista.

What shall I change on the router and adapter?
I still have big problems... it disconnects several times a day. Really annoying!

Got a very similar setup here - Vista Ultimate (fully patched & latest drivers) / DWA-140 Adaptor / DIR-635 Wireless router (latest BIOS) & A D-LINK DSL-320T modem (latest BIOS according to the D-Link UK site) - having identical issues.

Having looked thru the logs on both the router & the modem it APPEARS as though the modem is the root of the issue - randomly & multiple times a day I loose my internet connection (I can still see the router & modem) - modem logs indicate:

Dec 2 23:12:02> DSL Carrier is down
Dec 2 23:12:12> DSL Carrier is up
Dec 2 23:12:12> sar read trained mode (1)(ADSL_G.dmt)
Dec 2 23:12:13> PPPD Terminated Through Signal
Dec 2 23:12:13> Connection terminated.
Dec 2 23:12:13> pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0
Dec 2 23:12:13> Connect: ppp0 {--}
Dec 2 23:12:17> default route ioctl(SIOCADDRT): Network is unreachable(128)

The modem corrects itself but I need to do a DHCP release / renew or a reboot on the router before my internet connection will re-establish itself.

I've had the modem for 2 (whole) days now & I'm considering taking a sledge-hammer to it.
