Unbelievable

People still have the expectation of privacy...what a racket!

As adverts become more graphically intensive, the use of bandwidth to "project" them will also increase. Will we here from the ISPs about the excessive use of bandwith for something that they're making money off of; no.
So why do we hear from the ISPs about bandwidth "hogs" now. Same premise, they're making money off of you. But they want to minimize the amount that you use so they have the capacity to sell the same space twice!

I'm done ranting for today...

Apples and oranges (or apples and microscopic apples). Bandwidth hogs are using 200+ GB a month on P2P, newsgroups, etc. Ads are unlikely to use more than 10 MB.

10MB are you serious!!! with all the revolving flash ads in pages headers, footers and side panels. 10MB is an understatement. while it might not be as intensive a hardcore p2p, at my house we have many PCs so those advertisements add up quickly slowing down the entire network. I feel they are so bloated that I have been blocking many ad sites such as doubleclick ad google ad-sense. sure make pages load a hell of a lot faster.
