My Westell drops out in stormy weather as well. Technician came out and checked it in the early spring. Told me I was on the outer fringe for 6.0 and I should drop back to 3.0.
That's funny, as I have had no more drop outs since we have been in the current drought this summer and fall. Now a storm front is moving through and I am up and down today. I am looking at the Netopia modems on Ebay. |

1 edit | Though there's always a minor chance it may not help, I can safely say with confidence that a Netopia will likely remedy your thunder/sync loss issues...but before you do so...
Does it drop out when it's rainy? Or when it thunders?
If it's the rain, the probably won't help.
If it's the thunder itself, it probably will help out. Look for a 2241N if you can.

| reply to brandon My 6100 seems to lose sync when it's:
1) stormy 2) very cold 3) very hot
And sometimes 4) very dark
During the winter it seems I have to power-cycle the modem once a day. I have fiber to the curb (DFITL, the Forgotten Technology) |
