Many users (including myself) have had problems with 6100s through thunderstorms. Sync-loss topia when it storms =]
I replaced it with a Netopia 3347-02 and it works like a charm when it storms.

| It was definitely rough earlier. I lost sync once, but I blame the fact that my SNR is 5-8 and synced at 3360 kbit (I'm on the edge for 3 meg; heck, I can't even get 3552  )

| I'm not saying the 6100 is a bad modem; heck, I've even heard reports that it syncs on some VERY marginal lines where-as other modems don't sync at all, but I wish there was a user adjustable setting to "configure" this sensitivity...
That's why I think it's so sensitive to storms.
