Qwest, the worst of the worst.

I recently disconnected from Qwest because after three attempts they couldn't resolve why my calls were being dropped while using their land line with a corded phone, I'd call their repair center and while on hold the line would go dead for 5 minutes and some times up to four hours...their service people come out and pronounce the house wiring clean, problem must be elsewhere...nothing ever followed up on.
The last serviceman said the reason was oxidation on the connectors, he kept seeing it but nobody else could, turned out the guy was full of hot air, the contacts were gold...gold doesn't oxidize.
So I cancel their service and go to an internet phone provider, they sucked worse so back to Qwest who has to issue me a new phone number which is barely cold, in fact I spent an entire day answering calls from people wanting to pick up their dope, so I contacted Qwest and had them get me another phone number, they did...only problem...it still belonged to the original user and I cancelled Qwest for good.
Am with Phone Power and all is well.
IF anyone takes a peek at Qwests internal budget for 2007/2008 you will see they have allowed 0 for landline maintenance and upgrade which means the very lines their DSL and internet depend on are being left to rot further.
DSL cancellations in the Washington Port Orchard area is at 70% because the lines are so bad.
Their new CEO is invisible and not answering questions for yet another month and just keeps putting off everything.
The upper management that counted has already jumped ship when Notabert left and now all you have is a skeleton crew on a sinking ship with no rudder or captain.
All I can do is hope their value keeps dropping so they might become a more attractive buy out, but the company is so run down I seriously doubt that will happen any time soon.
