Re: oh, so I see how it works... said by bicker:It is nobody's "fault". Well it is, and it isn't. The fact that the problem goes un-fixed most certainly IS their fault. Each company involved is responsible to its owners, not to pander to our personal demands. Silly me. I thought providing services the customer wants and therefore pays for was the goal. I've forgotten that in today's pro-business environment consumers are expected to just take whatever is offered, fork over their cash, and shut the hell up.
As for who the country chooses as leaders, well, I've been in the other camp for years. Personally, I feel we could use sweeping reforms to put consumers on a more even keel with business interests. -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!) | | bicker join:2007-05-10 Burlington, MA 2 edits | said by KrK:The fact that the problem goes un-fixed most certainly IS their fault. That presumes that something is broken. From TiVo's standpoint, they have no control over the breakage and cannot "fix" it. From the cable company's standpoint, nothing is broken. Again, no one is at fault.

Constantly changing the rules helps no one. | |
