Basic phone for 5.75/month?

I have AT&T/Yahoo at my other house and you are telling me that I can get basic phone service for 5.75? I am paying around 50 bucks a month for phone and 1.5/256 dsl. So 20 bucks for the dsl and 5.75 for the basic phone line is just what I need. Who do I contact because I do not see this as a option anywhere on their site. Thanks in advance

Yes, you can get phone service for that cheap. It's not on their site because they don't want you to know about it.

Call them and explain to them that you don't use your land line and you only want the absolute cheapest phone service possible. I believe it's called "metered local service".

Also, you need to specify that you don't want long distance. There is some bullshit 7.00 fee to remove your long distance, but it will save you from having to pay the minimum 2.00 a month for a long distance plan.
