en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | Yup - that's how AT&T is working on its 'naked' Uverse service here. I have AT&T Mobility (Wireless), AT&T POTS/LD and DSL through DSL-Extreme (over AT&T lines) and DirecTv. They've offered Uverse TV + Internet, but I'm under DTV contract. I've been offered packages (Internet 3Mbps or 6Mbps) with $50 rebates... however, AT&T recently removed the ability for me to even order or renew the 3Mbps package
I've called and complained that all I want is Internet + VoIP or Internet + POTS/LD, or I'll take all my services and go to TimeWarner.
Now they're offering me $30 for 3Mbps/1Mbps 'dry' Uverse or $40/month for 6Mbps/1Mbps dry Uverse.
I'll wait until their VoIP pricing comes out, and my DSL-Extreme contract is up before I even think about it.
Worst part is that my 3Mbps line (which is not offered any more, except on DSL-Extreme month 2 month), works VERY well, especially since AT&T's contractors fixed the lines around here. -- Canada = Hollywood North |
