Install and MAC address

The MAC address hassle is a big one: You have to have Micro**** to install Comcast, and then that computer is the MAC address that the service will use. There may be ways around that, but basically you have to have a NAT router that will clone your MAC address for its "WAN"
-You don't need Windows to install Comcast. You can call them and give them your modem details and they will activate your service.

-It is true that Comcast will only work with one MAC address, but it doesn't take much to use a different one. All you have to do is power down your modem/turn it off for about a minute, then plug it back in. Then it will use the new MAC address off your new pc/router/device. There is no need to clone your MAC address unless you wanted to keep your existing IP address.
