Or maybe you opted out?
I've had several people tell me definitively that the opt out causes it to cease, so good on Ashampoo for that one.

I've haven't opted out yet, as I find it more fun to give them the needle about the spam.

I get a lot of e-mails from Ashampoo, because i have subscribed to it i would not call it spam unless it's something you did not subscribe to [mod removed unsavory commentary]

I didn't 'subscribe' to it, Oleg-- I just didn't opt out.

You better use a throw-away e-mail address for registering with them. I don't think they honor opt-out requests very well. They have been spamming the hell out of mine for the last 3 or 4 years.

I do use a throw-away address. That's why I haven't opted out yet. I only check that account once every week or two.

You're saying you've opted out and they still spam you?
Because that's the exact opposite of what some people have told me, from their personal experiences.

Wonder what is was? Got to be some bug-a-boo in 7.2 to patch it that quickly.

Did you get this update on the free version of 2007 studio?

Mine is stuck at Ashampoo Burning Studio 2007,version 6.20

When i click on the internet update from the menu in the program it says that no updates are available.

I don't think you get updates when you don't pay for the program. I believe that may be in the printed information.

I get a lot of email too from Ashampoo, but for some reason they keep sending me the German versions. I sent them an email about it but never got a response - or if I did, it was probably in German. LOL.

I should just opt-out but I get the gist of the offering.

Is there a compelling reason to upgrade from Burning Studio 2008 to ABS 7? Apparently, I can name my own price today.
Don't really need anything, but if the price is right....

Thanks,

Adam

If you don't need the video and/or backup features of 7 then 2008 should be all you need.

Thanks howie!

It was the whole "name your own price thing" that got me.

hello, my name is Adam and I like stuff, even if I don't need or will ever use it......
