nwrickert : I haven't tried 10.3, so my comment is based on my experience with 10.1.

The boot screen should have an option for a "safe mode" boot. There should also be an "options" or similar button that allows other choices. You will need a choice different from the default. I had to use the "no local apic" option to install on this system.
--
AT&T dsl; Westell 2200 modem/router; SuSE 10.1; firefox 2.0.0.8

Chuckles : I'm looking thru the opensuse and LQ forums for an answer but I thought I'd just throw this out here...

After the openSUSE 10.3 boot up (loading usb devices, yast, etc) I get to a GUI that says "Initializing the installation process" but it just hangs there forever. 1st time clock mousing cursor froze after a while, 2nd time it just spun the hands on the clock until I got tired of waiting.

Any suggestions?
--
kustomerservice.net
