1 edit | [E-Mail] Change over to Comcast EMAIL
I have contacted both Insight and Comcast and nether will talk about whats going to happen to my Insight email when Comcast becomes the operator at the end of December. In fact Insight has only a link to Comcast's home page and it the link just says Comcast will take over on December 31st? You would think one of them would provide some information. I like Comcast response which they said it was too early to provide any information on the change over? You would think with a month to go that some arrangements have been made. I am confused as too why Insight is still trying to sell me services which they will no longer provide in a month? |

Insight is still selling service because even with the change of name it will take months to switch to comcast fully. All of insight that is staying insight has the BTN we don't in IL because comcast says no |

| reply to IL Insight cable Most likely whatever your email address is @insightbb.com will become comcast.net, however if there already someone with that email who already has comcast then they will most likely have to add a digit or something like that, but try to keep it as similar as possible. Also they most likely keep you @insightbb.com email account open for a good time after comcast takes over and most likely forward all your email to your new comcast.net account. Insight had some markets in Indiana a few years ago that Insight managed but Comcast actually owned, and that is what they did, when Comcast decided to manage them. Columbus Indiana was the biggest market that went to them. This is how they did it then, |

| reply to IL Insight cable You will be asked to setup a new email account through an online process that comcast will be setting up however I cannot go into further details on what will happen to your old account on our servers I do suggest to use a free online email service and inform people who email you at your insight account should email that your new email address. That way you do not have to worry about having email issues.

What, you mean no one else's email has disappeared? I had problems where i had to change my password to even get in to email a few weeks ago. Over the last couple days or so, I have no Insightbb email. My mom said she had 5 emails bounce back to her saying that there my address doesn't exist. On top of that, I can barely surf the web right now. Some stuff will load, but I'm getting lots of hanging and freezing- speed tests still show good speed though. Weird..and extremely annoying. |

| reply to sman83 »www.whig.com/290499542519604.php Quincy's mayor had 2 comcast managers plus the local insight manager(will be comcast's local manager) here last night to answer questions at at town meeting. Sounds like it will be March before much happens. Since comcast will be changing my email addr, I think I will go instead to Gmail. Does anyone else have copy and paste failure to work or delay problems when using on-line email like Gmail or hotmail? |

The most significant change Insight customers will experience under Comcast is a change in their e-mail address, if they use the @insightbb.com address provided through the company's Internet service. Apple said those addresses will change to @comcast.net, though there will be a grace period during which both addresses will work so that customers can notify their mailing lists of the change. |

@spcsdns.net | reply to IL Insight cable No changes. Translated: "You'll miss out on all the new HD channels that Insight has added and not be getting anything new from Comcast except higher rates." I'm already hating this transition. |

| This was my biggest complaint as well. I can live with the fact that we can't get the recent additions that Insight made because we are soon going to be comcast. However, it sucks that they are not giving us any of the recent additions that Comcast has made. So we are getting bent over and screwed twice. |
