| Blocking tracker addys?
Is it possible that sympatico is blocking tracker addresses? I am having a son-of-a-gun of a time connecting to any torrent trackers lately. Both private and public. Been trying to find a reason for it from my end but nothing has changed, all my settings have been triple checked and such. |

| reply to just wondering just to elaborate, this has only started happening the last couple days. The two torrents I have loaded right now have fairly popular tracker addys:
KonzillaRG:6969/announce tpb.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce vip.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce open.tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce tracker.torrentbox.com:2710/announce tracker.torrentbox.com:2710/announce tracker.zerotracker.com:2710/announce tracker.zerotracker.com:2710/announce
and
vip.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce bit-byte.org/announce.php tracker.torrentbox.com:2710/announce www.sumotracker.com/announce rock.sladinki007.eu:6700/announce
and one torrent private tracker that I wont post.
I either get "offline (timed out)" or a socket/buffer error. |

trackers have been falling like flies in the past few weeks.
I only use trackers that don't have MPAA or RIAA related content so I don't know about those trackers.. well except for TPB

| reply to just wondering I've noticed a few problems too, but I wasnt sure if it was something serious or just some old offline trackers since the torrents were a tad old.
On a side note... I'm using uTorrent, and when I run the tool to check if the ports are open fine, I get a green light. If I turn on encryption in uTorrent, it says that the port does not appear to be open. Why is that? I cant decide if it would be better to have the encryption on or not. --
