 | Osborne effect? Do you think this AT&T guy just pulled an "Osborne 2" on the iPhone? I know I won't be buying an iPhone until I see this new version. (truth being told, I was holding out for a 3G version anyway) I wonder if we're going to see rumors of Jobs throwing chairs or trying to get out of their AT&T contract over this. |

You mean Steve Jobs is going to rewrite the history of the iPhone in the new version, changing previously accepted story lines and plot elements and ruining canon all to make a new version of the phone? -- Only SHATNER is Kirk. |

 | Sorry - I'm not "edjumacated" enough to get that reference.
(I, obviously, was talking about the famous blunder of Osborne Computer Corp. back in the 80's: »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osborne_effect ) |

 JoeG4 join:2001-12-16 945941 | non-visual voicemail isn't horrible. LOL.
Ya know, when I miss a call on my phone and it goes to voicemail, my phone will bring up a thing telling me what the call was I missed, and when I call the voice mail oh (@#% ya know what? It plays that exact message.
Usually people just hang up on voice mail anyway.
Don't get me all wrong here, but I think visual voicemail is a ridiculous selling point on a phone.
(I got an iPod Touch.. would've happily bought an iPhone and used it with my provider of choice, well, you know how that is - but the 4GB ones sold out before I could get one, lol).
Oh well. Still, I was wanting the combination of iPod + camera + phone, not.. visual voicemail. |
