3G Coverage Expansion as well?

Does AT&T plan to to expand 3G coverage a litter faster as well? I'd hope so, with this announcement. I have no problems with EDGE on my Blackberry, but one would hope they are going to ramp up 3G deployment a little faster than they have been. This is going from the coverage listing:

Maybe they are increasing the speed of their deployment, but I haven't heard any recent news of this...

Sorry if this may be a double post, I just quickly read over the existing comments.

Oklahoma City, OK

My LG CU500 phone now shows 3G coverage in Oklahoma City as of yesterday(11/28/2007). Before it indicated Edge coverage unless I traveled to Dallas or Tulsa. I do not see Oklahoma City indicated in 3G coverage on AT&T maps last time I checked.

I could be wrong about this but I believe that AT&T only deploys 3G on the 1900MHz spectrum. I also believe that OKC was strictly a 850MHz network. If this is right it means that either AT&T now has some 1900MHz spectrum out there or else they are now starting to deploy it on the 850MHz spectrum. I wonder which it is.
