[Free] Adblock for Opera

Saw this posted over at Wilders Forums:

For those who use Opera and are looking for free adblock, the following link provides an excellent adblock file for Opera that is updated frequently and works great:

Click on the Opera button and save the urlfilter.ini file into the following:
C:\Documents and Settings\"your username"\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile

The following is for Windows XP only. I do not have Vista.

The "Application Data" subdirectory is a hidden subdirectory, so you may first have to do the following before you can download the urlfilter.ini file listed above:

Click on “My Computer”, then “Tools,” then “Folder Options,” then “View,” click on “show hidden files and folders”, then click “Apply”. All done. Now download the file as outlined above.

Hope this helps Opera users.

Thanks, but just as an FYI. Content blocking is now available though opera itself (right click-block content). But where this link can come in handy is adding to the blocked content list, so good find!

Good find. I've been running without Admuncher for awhile, using Opera's popup blocker. Amazing how much Admuncher slowed down my browsing.

The adblock list uses Opera's content blocker
