| Football game Since I don't know I'll just ask. When it comes to the NFL, I thought renting out movie theaters, or any other public gathering places like schools and churches to watch football games, was in there lingo 'Strictly Prohibited'. I can remember reading somewhere, that the NFL was trying to crack down on churches that were showing the Superbowl or playoff games or something to that extent. Ha, any copyright lawyers want to chime in? |

Stockton, CA | Not if they paid the proper fee(s). Its like a bar showing a Tyson fight-as long as they pay the proper fee to the provider (usually based on occupancy) its perfectly fine. They don't pay the $49.95 a residential account would, its more.
Its a bar hooking itself up as a residence, and paying the residence fee for the fight, then charging people a cover fee and making a mint that they frown upon. They don't care as long as the proper green makes it into the proper pockets as charged.
Course, even worse is using an illegal box and paying nothing, but thats on another level entirely. |
