Enhancement Opportunity

Lynchburg - Liberty University Hill
I took this photo around the time of sunset. I have already enhanced it a bit by remove noise and adjusting levels. I'd like to see what some of you can do to improve it even more.

I'd have to say that there's nothing about it that says 'sunset' at all. Could you post the untouched file?

I agree with TMP. This photo does not look like it is a sunset. If it was, the buildings around would detract from it anyways. Perhaps find a better scene to shoot?

A good crop to remove the building, and then clone out the power lines would help. The other Lynchburg photos you posted in the Gallery look really good, but this one looks too blue. A color temperature correction might help that.

I never said that the sun was setting behind the hill. It's setting behind me. I wasn't trying to capture a sunset. My subject was Liberty University Hill. Anyway, here's the original (only resized) so you can compare.

With no cropping, but more of a 'late-day' feel...

Of the enhancement edits, I like Chuck22's the best. I need to take my own advice and get a haze filter. I also need to invest a that 18% gray thing to properly adjust my white balance. Another thing that is definitely on my list is an R72 filter.

Psssttt..... You can do your white balance with a blank piece of 8.5x11 paper in the meanwhile. It works pretty much as well as a grey card (and if you don't tell anyone they'll never know the difference).
