| [Broadband] MyKris....my God....
I recently migrated from my old ISP, GoLight to myKris. It was not a choice but rather we were told that we are being passed over to myKris from Nov 2007 onwards.
MyKris told us that they need time to migrate the network, bla bla bla so we waited and it has been a month. Connection to the internet in the past month during the migration was fine but as of this week, it craps out.
They sent a technician over and all they could say was 'we are only contractors and sent here to login and check'. And they kept asking me for the password and id in which the girl in MyKris gave us the wrong info. She said we now have a new id but apparently it was still the old id. The one we dealt with was also the one with the same name who posted a reply in 2005. Wonder if it is the same one as I don't know her surname.
I was smart then to try with my old id and password and it then worked. But they could not get it to work on my personal and my office notebook because we tried with the contractor's one. They then told me 'oh, it's a port problem'. I did not believed them so I used my office notebook, same issue.
They then tried and reset some stuff and it worked on my personal notebook but not my office one. Fine I said but now you should be able to tell me if I need to change any settings in the wireless router. They said they don't know anything about routers. They even suggested that I call myKris and ask them to change the device on my roof.
How could you be the contractor of myKris and not know or provide your customers with the relevant info? Even if you do not support routers (I am not IT savvy) hence I hope you would have been able to tell me what needs to be set and I will try figure it out myself. It was obvious they don't know much about networking stuff.
GoLight's services were bad enough but myKris....I am begining to doubt. Looking at the comments posted they were dated 2005 and looks like nothing much has changed. I checked out MyKris' website, it doesn't work. You cannot click on anything. How ironic...
I will call them on Monday, apparently they do not have any support set up on weekends but from the reviews I read since 2005?? Most probably I will be terminating the services and try something else. |
