Re: Who does this affect? And AT&T enforces loop lengths to have customers wanting higher packages use Uverse .. Eg. I have a 3008/512kbps package (and have for +3 years) This year, after Uverse became live, I can only order Express from AT&T. AT&T claims that I'm too far for 3008/512kbps service (12,300' ) however, my line has supported it in the past, and I have better connectivity since AT&T conditioned the lines for Uverse

On the flip side, AT&T said that they would offer Uverse internet only 3/1Mbps for $30 and 6/1Mbps for $40/month. I'm waiting for the VoIP packages to come out to see if its worth it (POTS/LD is expensive!)
