Price increases don't always equate added value. Comcast claims 'added value' on their hikes more than they do increased costs. (dumb move on their part) However, the movie theater, in this case, I give a full pass too. They are usually the LAST people at the bottom of the sh*t hill and are being squeezed the hardest. (Which is why we pay $5.50 for an extra large pop)
These pompass a*ses that think their acting is worth millions (see Tom Cruise) is one major reason why the prices go up.. another.. less people are coming to the theater after the initial rush of a new release.
On that note, too, the 'industry' says that ticket sales are down.. all the while, as news stations are consistently reporting record box office releases. :-? Interesting... |
