I have the Gateway CX210. I used it for school and it's pretty neat. I've found myself using the tablet features less simply because I don't take it to class as much, but when I did take it to class I found the tablet to be very useful for drawing graphs. And for classes in which the professors wrote a lot of notes on the board I was able to easily keep up by simplying typing my notes. The Thinkpad has a pretty good reputation for being stable and reliable. And I forget which model it was but it may have been the Toughbook which was chosen by a military academy for its students. The reason I went with the Gateway was because it had rebates on it which made it cheaper compared to other companies. It also brought a DVD burner which I found impossible to get on other models. This was just a little over a year ago too. Things have changed since then. With Vista now, the tablet PC functions are even better I hear. Anyways I'm not sure if any of that helps. Good luck. If you have any other questions just ask. |

 | i had a lifebook before, $3k price tag and it's kind of fragile.. right now I have a compaq and i like it so Im thinking maybe i should go with compaq/HP.
the hp tx1000 looks pretty good.. relatively cheap with decent features. Is there a difference with the touch screens on different models? I heard some tablets arent as sensitive or something. |
