Re: Let Verizon do it

That's fine, we'll keep our money, build desalinization plants and toss out the illegals.

We'll get our food elsewhere thanks. You can keep the E. coli tainted crap. The central valley certainly isn't the sole source of food production on the planet. Same with wood products.

Sorry I'm so slow in posting. After seeing Gray Davis' name in print, I had to go vomit; quite the mess.

Ah-nauld took over in the spending right where Howdy Doody left off. I wish Kall-ee-four-nya could be split in two. Orange County/Riverside South into 1 state, and then let the hippies and actors build their pot filled utopia to the norte.
You got a deal! Except, we norteno's would be more enthusiatic if you Southern Californiano's kept everything south of the Tehachapi mountains, and recalled your current ambassador, the Right Hon. A. Schwartzenegger.

Now that's settled, let's talk water rights...You are a "free market" capitalist, aren't you? So I'm sure you'll understand..uh..certain water fee increases to cover the cost of a fence, and border crossing stations, to keep you thirsty los angelenos on your side of the Tehachapi's, and to preserve, and responsibly manage, the limited and diminishing water resources of Northern California?

With that issue put to rest, we can move on to discuss the food production/distribution/pricing issues I'm sure you have anticipated will most certainly arise as we reallocate our agricultural resources/output to additional, more profitable markets to enhance our ROI.

And, of course, with all the wildfire damage down your way, the availability/cost of lumber and other building materials will be impacted. We'll try to limit price-gouging to "reasonable" levels. Mustn't constrain the "free market" too much. That could introduce disequilibrium into the economic whirligig, dontcha know...

We all know Ron Paul wont get the nod in the repulikan party so I think he should move to Kali-fornia and run for Govenator!

As far as bonds yes some do squeak by but only then the ads on tv (for voter zombies) say they are to benefit the "children" "first responders" or puppies

Voters are not falling for this "freebie" bond crap like thy did a few years ago.
Most seem to still pass...
Just the way it is here in Kalifornia, (PRK). sigh.

Arnold has been accused of not being a "Real Republican" many times. Guess if he were, he would never have been elected, or reelected here in the PRK.

If only the Verizon CSRs worked this well.

Well thats true but you have to apply and get approved. Lets modify the law and make then jump thru another hoop. If you want the franchise you have to get so much done in so much time or you loose the franchise. You cant just sit on it

I have had it with bond measures in CA. He gave Verizon a statewide franchise to wire most of the state with fiber. Give them a deadline to get it done or yank the permit and give it to the cable cos.
The statewide franchise law applies to ALL TV providers - not just Verizon. So the cable companies and AT&T have the same incentives in the law as Verizon does.

I have had it with bond measures in CA. He gave Verizon a statewide franchise to wire most of the state with fiber. Give them a deadline to get it done or yank the permit and give it to the cable cos. That will hurry them up. Let the Verizon shareholders pay for this. Not the CA tax payers. Oh also bonds are not free people. We have to issue them and pay the interest on them. And that is already billions of dollars for past bonds issued. Voters are not falling for this "freebie" bond crap like thy did a few years ago. I just heard 80% of the water bond money for water projects was not yet allocated. Cute. Issue bonds then dont use the money. This state is out of control and is an example of what happens when dems run things. Take note America
