| Comments and Critiques
Hi...
I've posted upwards of 100 photos to the galley, and have invited critiques. As of this moment I think I can count one one hand the number of critiques that have been IM'ed to me, and I find that I'm missing what I think I ought to be getting, that is, some comments outside of the usual. I know there are plenty of good photographers and editing experts here, and I wish they would share their knowledge.
What do you think?
Thanks |

I'm a big fan of landscape/travel photography. I refrain from offering critiques anymore if I can help it - too many people retaliate and I'm sick of getting all excellent or amazing and then the poor thrown in. I'm not stupid, I know my photos aren't ground breaking or anything but, they're not poor.
Another reason I don't commenton your photos is most are scans and other than PP, not much can be done. It'snotlike you're gonna run back to France to retake the photo in ten minutes.. lol. I will say one thing, I prefer the desaturated scans- too many people pump that saturation up. Could you imagine if we lived in an oversaturated world? Your eyes would be bleeding.. lol -- Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating.

| reply to mhhack I don't critique because I'm a rank amateur with no formal training or education in photography, and nowhere near the amount of photography experience you possess. That would be like the child teaching the parent. -- - - - | Hunt's Treasure |

| reply to mhhack FWIW it would take more time than I have to go thru all 100 or so photos, but if you'll send me links to the ones most important to you I'd be happy to critique. Not that I've mastered photography by any means because I've only seen the tip of the iceberg, so very much yet for me to learn but I'm willing to share what I know with anyone that thinks it will help them if they ask. |
