I can't send outgoing mail on telus

smtp.telus.net won't let me send mail what port do I use or what am I doin wrong here?

Should be port 25.

Can you ping smtp.telus.net?

If you can, can you connect to the port? Try opening a terminal session and typing 'telnet smtp.telus.net 25' to see if you can connect to the smtp server.

If that works, there's likely a problem with your mail program settings.
