Easier way to check DSL order status?

I ordered phone service and DSL on 11/19. My phone service started working on 11/26, but I have yet to receive the self-install kit. When I check the status through the website, either it doesn't recognize my phone number or I get a message that it couldn't verify the last 4 numbers of my social security number; when I called 1-800-288-2020, after making it through Mr. Friendly (the automated voice thingy), I got 1 ring and then purgatory.

Are these my only 2 options for checking order status?

 I signed up for phone/internet Thursday. The phone was active Friday and they said internet should be active tomorrow. I tried the online order status check thingy and it is giving me the same error message as you.

Give the AT&T Direct forum a try.
The att direct forum has different posting rules read them before posting.
