Trading PostOK folks, I have the go-ahead to have a topic in this forum for the purpose of buying, selling and trading radio gear and associated items. If this is to succeed, the guidelines must be strictly followed. I think it has the potential to benefit all of us, and as was said earlier, hams generally hold themselves to a pretty high standard. At the outset, any type of radio and associated equipment is acceptable, subject to the following requirements:
DSLREPORTS HAS NO INVOLVEMENT IN THE TRANSACTIONS OCCURRING IN THIS FORUM OR ON THIS SITE, AND INCURS NO OBLIGATION AS A RESULT OF SALES OR MERCHANDISE EXCHANGES.

ABSOLUTELY NO SALES OR ADVERTISING BY COMMERCIAL ENTITIES WILL BE PERMITTED; THIS VENUE IS FOR DSLREPORTS MEMBERS AND PRIVATE TRANSACTIONS ONLY.
ANONYMOUS TRANSACTIONS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED, SINCE THERE IS NO REASONABLE WAY TO KNOW WITH WHOM ONE IS DEALING.
NO ILLEGAL EQUIPMENT, OR LEGAL EQUIPMENT MODIFIED TO PERFORM ILLEGAL FUNCTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED.
ANY PERSON OFFERING OR ENGAGING IN TRANSACTIONS OF RADIO EQUIPMENT AS A RESULT OF A POSTING HERE IS SUBJECT TO THESE REQUIREMENTS, AND POSTING IN THE "TRADING POST" THREAD INDICATES ACCEPTANCE THEREOF.
POST IN THE THREAD TO LIST YOUR ITEM(S) OR WANTS ONLY. FURTHER CONTACT, BARGAINING, QUESTIONS, OFFERS, COUNTEROFFERS, "I CAN GET IT CHEAPER HERE" AND OTHER TRANSACTION-RELATED COMMUNICATIONS WILL BE VIA INSTANT MESSAGE ONLY.

Want to Buy: Handheld 2M radioLooking for a functional used handheld 2M radio with an output power of at least 5W. Monoband is fine, rechargeable battery would be a plus.
Please PM me if you have one available for sale and your asking price.

WTBI am looking for your broken, your battered and you inoperable Kenwood TM-V708 and TM-D700s. Or the remote head for the TS2000 series.
I found a deal, and ended up with an extra V708 body. So I need a head for it.
Please PM me if you have anything to Offer. |

Trading PostGreetings All,
If this is the wrong forum for asking such as I am, please accept my apology.
I have received a couple items to liquidate from a friend that passed away some time ago. I am not sure what to ask for these items and was hoping someone here might be able to give an opinion as I don't know for sure what to ask for these items.
I am a Licensed Amateur Radio Operator (KE4CUS).
Both of these items, have signs of use, but nothing that appears that it would affect operation. (read they are used ,not brand new)
1.> Yaesu FT-747GX powers up and receives well but no mic to further check out. I do not presently own a key so CW is not an option for me at this time.
2.> SGC SGC-230 Smarttuner. Appears that all is well with this itemas best as I can tell. I don't manuals
Can someone give me a "guesstimate" on a starting, or asking price?
Thanks in Advance Royce KE4CUS |

When I was looking at buying a rig last month, I saw a few of those Yaesu FT-747GX's for sale. Depending on condition, they were going any ware from 300$ to 425$, with the one for 425$ having the box/manual and mic. The SCG tuner is sill in production and they go for 595$ list new. But most places have them listed for 550$. Here is the link...... » www.sgcworld.com/230Prod ··· age.html» www.sgcworld.com/Publica ··· 0man.pdf |

Thanks a Bunch!
This gives mesome insight. The widow instructed me to not give it away, but she wasn't looking to get rich either. If I end up with $200.00 each on these 2 items, She will be happy and someone will end up with a good starter for HF.
Thanks again Royce KE4CUS |

Re: Trading PostLooking at selling a FT-101ZD with very little usage. Unit operated beautifully when I did use it, just that it's huge and obviously isn't suited for mobile operations. Interested in FT-817 (Or FT-817ND). Toss me an offer at the 101ZD, and if you're up for selling an 817 let me know. Perhaps a trade with some extra cash to the 817 seller (The FT-101ZD is heavy but it's weight isn't in gold hihi) I'm looking at simply becoming more mobile as where I live HF isn't possible due to so many local interferences. And obviously I can't lug the 101 up a mountain lol. That and I want to do some nice QRP work for a change. |

I have a few surplus items laying around that I'm looking to clear out of the shack... Yaesu FT1802M 2 meter mobile... Mounting bracket, hand mic and power cable included. Kenwood TM2550 2 meter mobile... hand mic and power cable included, no mounting bracket. Make offers... not looking for big bucks. Also, I have a Yaesu VX8r, with hand mic and GPS antenna. Ready to use for APRS out of the box. I rarely, if ever, use an HT, and I cannot justify keeping it. I'm looking to get $450 shipped for it... IM me here. I'll take Paypal (Non-CC) and money orders... John K2JNC |

Re: Trading PostPurchased the FT-1802 from John. It arrived in excellent shape due to being very well packed. The radio was programmed for the local repeaters and the reports have all been excellent. I would buy from John again. Good packaging and excellent communications. |

Looking for a mobile 2m rig (40 watts or more).
I'm not picky, Doesnt need a speaker, but the audio out has to work. Obviously the Mic jack will need to work and the radio should transmit. Commercial or ham gear as long as it will tune the APRS frequency (144.39). I'm planning on APRS in my car for storm spotting this summer.

Its just going in my trunk, so i'm not looking for anythin fancy.

Re: Trading PostI have a Yeasu VX-5 for sale. Here's the description: The Yaesu VX-5R is a triple band (6M, 2M & 440 MHz) HT with extensive receive coverage, and leading-edge features. It receives the AM and FM broadcast bands, shortwave (AM) to 16 MHz, VHF and UHF TV audio, VHF Air and public service frequencies. The specific ranges covered are: 0.5-16, 47-729 and 800-999 (less cellular). The die-cast aluminum housing, augmented by an extensive gasketing system sets a new standard for water resistance among amateur HTs. This robust construction has earned it a MIL-STD 810 rating.
The supplied FNB-58LI 7.2 V 1100 mAh Lithium-ion battery provides 5 watts out on 6M and 2M and 4.5 watts on 440 MHz. Features include: 16 digit 9 memory DTMF autodialer, CTCSS/DCS, 220 memories, aluminum die-cast case and 8 character alphanumeric display.
At only 2.3 x 3.4 x 1.1 inches (58x87x28 mm) it will go with you everywhere. The VX5R comes with SMA Antenna, FNB-58LI Lithium Ion Battery, NC-72B Battery Charger, Belt Clip and Wrist Strap.
Features 220 Alpha Memories AM/FM BCB SW to 16 MHz CTCSS/DCS European Tone Burst Wideband Receive Dual Watch ARTS-Automatic In-Range Transponder Backlit Keypad & LCD
Electronically, this radio is 10+. Physically, this had been my favorite radio with some wear to show it, and is probably about a 7 or an 8, with some scratches on the edges of the radio. I'm including the original box.
This radio includes the Yaesu SU-1 barometric module which provides both barometric pressure and altitude measuring capability, and has been MARS/CAP modified. I'm also including a MFJ-295 hand held microphone. Originally with accessories, this would have gone for around $280, I'm asking $150 plus shipping for the package. Prefer paypal, will ship within 48 hours on a weekday via Fedex ground.
