Can anyone remember that last time we had so much snow on the ground. As I was driving about the city today I saw snowbanks higher then I have seen for years. It's weird and scary...I may have to buy snow boots. |

yea, about a year ago almost to the day...London got hit with 36" of snow in a span of about 24 hours...this latest dumping isn't much of a big deal...perhaps a total of about 8-10 inches, but spread out over a couple of days. |

I remember that huge dumping of snow turned into a 5 day weekend as school was closed on the Fri, Mon, and Tuesday...hopefully we'll have another one of those.
Even this month, no one has been to school.

The new Thames Valley plan is...only ONE bus route has to be cancelled for them to be cancelled across the school board.

We've got off very lucky so far this year, here on the north shore of Lake Erie. Just a few flakes on the ground. Usually we get hit pretty hard. |

Jeff you're going to love this....Bell officially annouced that the Bell Home Monitoring was a bad move and they're cancelling it... pfft...it was a Bad move when they did the first time around, as Bell Guardium about 7 years ago and it flopped...when it was relaunched, and our store (and region) was a test area, i told them flat out it was a bad idea, a waste of money, and that the money they spent on it could have provided better returns elsewhere (like fixing the lack of DSL availability we had for 6 months because the CO was full), more value rich offers for BEV service, and better customer service policies in most facets of Bell...same thing happened with the Bell to Bell launch ("the greatest news since the invention of the phone"), another colossal failure...of course, what did i know, being a lowly management employee in a retail store...ignoring the fact that i (we) spoke with customers on a daily basis, hearing first hand what customers want, where we were missing the marks with customers, and knowing first hand what needed to fixed to better service our customer base was a critical area for the company...i was able to help change some things over the years, but lately, they didn't want to hear anything that deviated from their plan, even though many times, it was a failed plan.

I'm really hoping for some now this weekend and early next week.
Off topic:
At least Bell is refunding most of the money back to the customers. Lately, improvements have been better for existing customers. Existing customers can get most of the advertisements. |
