The danger zone for these cards is somewhere around 140°c, if I remember correctly. My previous passively cooled card from Gigabyte, a 6600GT, ran at just over 100°c under full load. I used it for quite a while before replacing it with my current 8600GT. The 6600GT still works fine.
With 120mm Nexus fans in the front and rear of my case the airflow across the video card is more than sufficient in my setup. |
