timcuth posted : Oh, ok. I've never used Vista, but with XP there are some extra networking protocols you have to add to the networking stack. One is "File and Printer Sharing", I'm not sure what all else. They also have to be stacked in a particular order.

If I was at home, I could show you my networking protocol stack, but I suppose you need something faster than before I get home, tonight. Until then, you can look through the FAQ's or maybe someone else can give you a hand.

Good luck,
Tim
--
"Love consists in overestimating the difference between one woman and another" - George Bernard Shaw
~ Project Hope ~

timcuth posted : What hardware are you trying to use to wire your LAN? You need an ethernet hub, an ethernet switch, or a router to connect everything together.

I use a Westell 6100 on the same firmware release as yours with a gigabit ethernet switch. The modem is connected to the switch. On the LAN side, I have three PC's, a wireless access point, and one of those AC house wiring ethernet things attached to the switch. Everything works and I didn't have to reconfigure anything after getting the first PC working with it attached directly to the modem.

Does your internet access work with one computer attached directly to the modem?

Tim
--
"Love consists in overestimating the difference between one woman and another" - George Bernard Shaw
~ Project Hope ~
