[IE] IE7 Pro--Is It Good?

Is IE7 Pro a good addon for IE7?

Is anybody using it?

Any downsides?

I have been using it for a couple of months. The reason that I am using it is for the spell checker for sites that do not have one.

No issues so far.

I have been using it since it first came out and have found it to be very useful.

Ive always found it buggy and they never fix any of the main bug... they just keep adding more crap to it.

Buggy in what way? I'll admit that Crash Recovery has caused me problems but I don't really need it anyway so I just don't use it. Other than that I've not noticed any problems.

I curious about this as well. (Have seen many threads about it, but have never tried it).

Now here's my biggest question of all:

Has anyone installed it, then uninstalled it before?
I'm wondering if it un-installs smoothly, and without problems, leaving the original IE7 in tact.

Just seems an add-on with so many amazing "features and tweaks to make your IE friendlier, more useful, secure and customizable", may also be something that leaves some undesirable "stuff" behind if you remove it.

I don't use IE7 Pro so have no opinion to offer on your question(s). However, if the main benefit is a spell checker, I'd recommend ieSpell instead.

I've been using it for months. Use the spell checker a bit but primary reason was to integrate an ad blocker with IE7 (at&tYahoo users will understand the need).

It was free, it spell checks ok, and it blocks lots of the ads that were making me nutz.

I haven't tried to uninstall it.

Only complaint I recall is that I used a site to create personalized postage stamps. The task to upload my art for the stamps hung constantly and I discovered their window looked to IE7 Pro like an ad and it blocked them. Shut the ad blocker off for a few minutes and the upload worked without a hitch.

I've been using it since August, without problem. I don't use all of its bells and whistles, and I was already an ieSpell user for years prior to that, but I like its ad blocker, tab control, etc.

I did install and uninstall it in the summer, when I was trying to decide if I could get used to the changes that IE7 introduced, and didn't have any problems when doing so.

Your OS should have a spell checker built in that is system wide (works in all applications). Unless I'm missing some other purpose?

been using it for about a month and it is a nice add on. I mainly got it for the ad-blocker and the spell check. But the crash recovery and the super drag thing is nice too. Took away any reason for me to use firefox.

i like it for the few things i use IE for, and I have not had many issues with it at all. Plus its free!

I like the spell check, ad blocking (i use in combo with MVPS hosts file), and flash blocking in IE.

would like to see them add full script and active x blocking to further secure IE.

Which OS? Windows certainly does not. And looking at the history of TomBrooklyn's posts, he's DEFINITELY a Windows user.
