stevenwest13 : Well folks I have the same horror story on the slow speeds. Every night since the middle of May around 5pm my speeds start slowing down. At about 10pm I am at lest than 1mbit. I have had three techs out and one even stayed up at the node from my house until 11pm checking the speeds with me and he was getting the same slow speeds I was. Charter knows there is a slow speed issue in the area and I finally spoke with the Corporate office last today.

I had been calling over and over again but Tuesday night I had had it and told them flat out I was filing a complaint against them with the city of Greenville. I had been hung up on by three supervisors and a dispatch supervisor and each one hung up as soon as I asked for a direct line to call someone about this problem. Every agent I got on the phone wanted to run tests and I just got fed up with it.

After the third supervisor hung up I finally got one that gave a crap. Today corporate called me and they are now fully aware that it is at the head end. They informed me Tuesday night that they would let me know something in seven days about what was going on and that's when I told them that in seven days if the problem was not fixed I was going to start filing complaints with the city.

That has apparently got the ball rolling to get this problem solved. Unfortunately folks calling them will not help the agents will just want to run you through test after test. The supervisor gave me a full months credit but I quickly informed him that is not what I want. I just want my service working in the evenings.

By the way it works outstandingly during the day. So folks by Tuesday June 24 I can only suggest you file a complaint against charter cause calling them may not help you much.
