Texas Air Net now sold to LEC

New network DE-prioritizes some types of traffic including Bit Torrent.

Status: Canceled. Glad Air Canopy is still around.

If you can, AVOID this company like the plague. They also do business as A+ Supertech. I thought Texas Air Net was bad, but the new owner Leroy Nabors is a huge Douchebag. Service is horrible, going down all the time. They still charge me 100% and when I complained they threatened to take my equipment down saying I had a contract to fulfill and I was out of the warranty. All I did was call and say my service was down again! It took two days before they even called me back. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

LEC Wireless Class Action Lawsuit

LEC Wireless has terminated my service due to me complaining about lack of service and constantly going down. This has seriously affected my job.

I am in the process of retaining an attorney who will bring a class action lawsuit against Leading Edge Communications, and LEC Wireless. I have contacted customers of LEC Wireless that I know are unhappy with their lack of service and they are very happy to be part of this lawsuit.

If you would like to be included in the class action lawsuit against Leading Edge Communications and LEC Wireless, please email your contact information to LECClassAction@gmail.com. If youknow any current LEC Wireless customers or any that have left LEC that would be interested in persuing this with us, please pass this on to them. Remember, there is strength in numbers!

The bottom line is LEC is stealing from us (charging full rates and not providing) and they should pay dearly for that!

Thank you!

GIT OVER IT

If your service was so bad - why did you stay? There are other providers to choose from.

I have LEC service and it WAS choppy in the beginning, but it is WAY BETTER NOW than it ever was with that other loser company. Leading Edge is really rocking now! None of the other providers I tried - Air Canopy, Tier One, and ECTISP were even close to what the NEW LEC Wireless is NOW doing. I was always down or slow with the other guys - and there was nothing they could do about it - at least LEC was able to get it corrected and rocking. Nobody else could or would!

Do yourself a favor and ask LEC to take you back - it will be your best bet for REAL reliable service! - Jim P.

Re: Texas Air Net now sold to LEC

HAHAHA - You are a BOZO, and crude. lecwireless doesnt have contracts with their customers. You could have changed providers anytime you wanted to. DUH! Look at their website. Hope you are happy with your CONTRACT for Air Canopy Service - you are STUCK now - fool. My service with lecwireelss is very fast finally. It did stink when they first started - but it kicks butt now! Looks like you jumped too soon.

Get some soap and wash your mouth out. (get some manners too) No one believes comments from people that talk like they have no brains.

The 2 previous post are obviously from LEC employees. I agree that these guys suck beyond anything you can image! I am a network and server engineer by trade so it is not "stupid people that have no clue". I almost never get a person on the phone when I call. When I am having trouble it is usually after I get home and the support office is closed. All you get it the option to leave a message that NEVER get returned!! They recently went down due to "vandalism". How is it possible that they expect to service customers with a single point a failure like that? Very poor network design! I wish the Texas Air Net guys were back. I had a few small issues with them but nothing too bad. I would love to know what happened between them. As crappy as LEC is I would not doubt it if they sued Texas Air Net out of business.

This letter is to inquire and request information about service I received from Texas Air Net on July 24, 2007. I called Texas Air Net after I experienced a problem with connectivity about 2-3 weeks after I initially joined. For a period of about 1-2 weeks, I was told that Texas Air Net would no longer be able to provide me with Internet Service and that a joint venture with Tier 1 Networks was in the works. I was also told that another company had “hijacked” the Texas Air Net tower that services my house. I was informed not to take any calls from Leading Edge Wireless and that a lawsuit was pending against them. As I talked with a lady who represented Texas Air Net, I questioned my options because I had paid for a year of wireless internet just a few weeks before. After talking with a Tier 1 representative, I did not feel comfortable with them honoring the year contract. I then called Texas Air Net and requested a refund minus the 1 month of service I. My name and number was taken along with my payment information used and was assured that a refund would indeed be issued.
During this 1 month period, SBC was now offering DSL in the Indian Hills neighborhood. Since I had no service available through Texas Air Net, I signed up for the service. As time passed, I checked my credit statement, only to see no refund credited. Shortly after this time, I received a hand written note telling me that my connection had been restored through Leading Edge Wireless. Obviously, I was confused. I proceeded to call Texas Air Net to make sense of what was happening but instead was told that I needed to speak with Leading Edge. I questioned the lady as to why Leading Edge was responsible for my account when I was told they were being sued. I know this because of a webpage that and letter that Texas Air Net posted. I also noticed that the joint venture with Tier One was cancelled as well.
I then spoke with Marie at Leading Edge who agreed to look into my account. After numerous phone calls and call backs, LEC informed me that I would need to write Texas Air Net concerning the refund. I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. I do not want to spend any more time on this problem, I have spent 6 months trying to work with 3 different companies. tminton@wisd.org
