Has anyone here been able access spamhaus this morning given the fact the connection is being refused due to network problems they are having at this time?
I wanted to ask this so I can clear something up here, thanks. |

1 edit | The HTTP Request Header is not confirming that the website is working. Only the content of the HTTP Response Header can do that.
A better tool is ID Serve.
Initiating server query ... Looking up IP address for domain: www.spamhaus.org The IP address for the domain is: 216.168.30.71 Connecting to the server on standard HTTP port: 80 [Connected] Requesting the server's default page. The server returned the following response headers: HTTP/1.0 200 OK Server: Lasso/7.0 Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Expires: Mon, 10 Dec 2007 09:25:39 GMT Content-Length: 16255 Age: 3221 X-Cache: HIT from www.spamhaus.org Connection: close Query complete.

| The suggestion was for two (2) reasons.
1] Make the request from your PC so that your route from your ISP (good for cases where the OP is on the same ISP or backbone) to the site in question is actually tested versus a 3rd party sites route to the site in question.
2] See the actual Response Header from the Server which was not shown in your first reply (it looks like you copy/pasted the Request Headers fine, but missed the Response Headers data returned further down the page and the Windows Utility "ID Serve" only gathers then copies the Response Headers data made ready to view or post). All that was seen was the request the web site made and what their browser Request Headers contained (aka the same stuff that your own browser does, aka your browser environment variables).

  Spamhaus issues
| reply to Chao284 Apologies for dredging up this link but i'm curious if anyone else may be having Spamhaus.org connectivity issues? I'm receiving very spotty performance in accessing the site, and have traced it down to two different addresses... an NSLOOKUP reports the following addresses:
Non-authoritative answer: Name: www.spamhaus.org Address: 216.168.30.71 Name: www.spamhaus.org Address: 64.124.52.228
If I dig further, i find that the 64.124.52.228 address resides on AboveNet's network and goes to a "bungi.com"...
Abovenet Communications, Inc ABOVENET (NET-64-124-0-0-1) 64.124.0.0 - 64.125.255.255 Bungi.com ABOV-T543-64-124-52-0-24 (NET-64-124-52-0-1) 64.124.52.0 - 64.124.52.255
the 216.168.30.71 address is associated with SuperNews...
Is anyone else receiving similar performance in trying to get to www.spamhaus.org? i'm wondering if there is a DNS related issue going on out there.
