<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/401836"><b>wonko3fc</b></A> : I'm assisting a friend setting up their web connection in a newly rented accommodation.<br><br>Legacy NTL (Virgin Media) service is installed with a NTL 250 modem.<br><br>We can ping, tracert to the world but are unable to browse with web service etc.<br><br>[Ed] <i>I've also been able to remotly access the PC accross the web this afternoon and use the browser on the PC to access the 250 modem all seems to be in order.<br>I'm feeling a bit snookered as to why we cannot use the browser to access the web etc :(</i><br><br>Has anyone else come across this?<br><br>It could be that the account is blocked on specific ports awaiting activation but wanted to ask around here first. :)<br><br>I'll be popping back with the modem diagnostic tool downloaded from the VM web pages.<br><br>Did anyone see the most elaborate explanation for trouble shooting there? &raquo;<A HREF="http://www.virginmedia.com/help/support/solution.php" >www.virginmedia.com/help/support&middot;&middot;&middot;tion.php</A><br>Has to be the most complicated way of telling the customer to switch it off and then on again ever. :D]]></description>
